The reader and story held my interest. I learned more about women serving in the civil war. Very believable story. I loved they way the author described the scenes. Great details. Can't wait to listen to another one of her books. However I have been unable to find any more she has written. Janet ( Northener)
I was disappointed in the story line with Sophia and the cowboy. To me it read like a teenage love story. I did enjoy the story line of Ira and his wife. I thought the book was very predictable.
Another great book by Burke. Will Patton brings the story to life. I wish it was not so violent, but then it wouldn't be Dave Robicheaux novel. Great ending!
Touching story about a family working together to save a little girls future. Plot all not sugar and spice. Mary Kay addresses topics that are not all that funny in a light hearted fashion. The ending was unique/
Moving story about Emma a prima ballerina that has a career ending injury. As result she is forced to reevaluate her priorities. She begins to dive into her grandmother's past history. This writer reminds me of Kate Morton. the plot has lots of dimensions.
This book had a unique plot and great characters. What appears to be a blessing soon turns into a night mare for those hiding their secret. I love books that keep me asking how I would have handled ethical dilemma's. In this book there seems to be no good answers to this small blessing.
Great book, great character's and unique plot. The book is very funny but yet very touching. It made me laugh and cry. I loved the narrator. I will be looking for more books to read from this author.
Unique story line, kept me interested. A mix of humor and sadness. Great character's loved the narrator. I will be waiting for Beth Hoffman's next book.
This book is going to be added to one of my all time favorite books. I loved everything about this book. It was very moving and had me in tears at the end of the book. I would highly recommend this book
Very enjoyable, can't wait till their next book in this series. Great characters that were funny and believable. Lots of twist and turns in the plot that kept me guessing. If you are a Janet Evanovich , pick this one up for a listen.
Ms. Winspear gets better with each new book. No. 10 is a great one in the series. Can't wait to see what new adventures Maisie Dobb's finds herself in next. Love this era, 1930's in England.
