"Excellent Performance"
Great performance. Could work on speaking women's voices, but other than that - truly enjoyable.
So versatile! Rev. Bacon... great job.
"What am I missing?"
There was no suspense - the forshadowing is more like a giant red flag of what's to come. The plot had promise, but I found it so hard to believe a town would get into such an uproar over a list that women talk about at EVERY outing. So what? I wanted more from the psyco. In addition, the neighbors and thier relationship - really? C'mon. We start out with a strong-willed, independent, snarky Jaine.... so we think. The author can't possibly understand true "Corporate America" women and the lives we lead. I couldn't help but have scene's of Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin in '9 to 5'.
Alas, I downloaded this book because of the ratings... just a different set of readers/listeners I guess. TO BE FAIR, I don't enjoy romances but am a huge fan of Jonathan Kellerman and James Patterson. If those guys are your style, you won't enjoy this one.
The characters needed depth. Paper thin.
Laura Hicks did a good job with what she had to work with. Not the best I've ever heard - a bit whiny on many parts....even with a supposedly strong spirited character.
