Scuba diving instructor Olivia Zuckerman loves guiding tourists under the water almost as much as she loves guiding women to her bed. Coerced into picking up a new trainee from the airport, Oz has no idea that her life is about to change in every imaginable way. Daniela Finnsbury-Sterling, Finn to her friends, is trying to break away from an overbearing father, a man intent on making her life fit his plans. Desperate to make her own way, she escapes to Florida to train as a diving instructor.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Maybe someone more interested in diving? Or someone not interested in romance or intimate scenes. Because this book was a little shallow in those areas. So to speak.

What do you think your next listen will be?

I think I will go back to some mystery/drama stories. I enjoy a good Dexter book, or Reacher. I listen at work so anything longer than 15 hours is good. Gives me some entertainment for a couple days. Anything less just seems short and not worth the expense. I've just about exhausted the lesbian romance genre on audible. For now.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

The narrator was enjoyable. I was thinking they would do a search for the missing mom. Some parts seemed rushed, and some seemed not to get a proper ending. It just kind of stopped.

  • Grand Theft Equine: Lesbian Fiction

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 41 mins)
    • By Margo Moon
    • Narrated By Tret Fure
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

When winning thoroughbred trainer Joan Caulder comes up short an exercise rider at Churchill Downs, she hires freelance gallop girl Cailen Eagleton who, on the first day in the saddle, shows she can ride like a dream as well as distract her new boss with bold confidence and a rear end made to be framed in chaps. But Cailen believes all horse trainers are egomaniacs who sacrifice horses' interests for the sake of money and prestige.

    Dandylion says: "Worst narrator ever!"
"Kind of a waste of my time..."
What disappointed you about Grand Theft Equine: Lesbian Fiction?

Everything?! The narrator wasn't that great or easy to listen to. It was confusing in the beginning getting the characters straight, so to speak. For me, the story never really developed. The women fell in love too fast. The depth of their relationships wasn't believable.

What could Margo Moon have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I'm not sure. There was some interesting horse info in there, but the romantic scenes were lacking.

How could the performance have been better?

The voices all sounded too similar to me.

    Any additional comments?

The only positive thing I can take away is the fact that this is the first audio book I've listened to where the author addresses women being on their period. We are human after all. So that was nice to see.

  • Trauma Alert: First Responders, Book 1

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 36 mins)
    • By Radclyffe
    • Narrated By Nicole Vilencia
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Dr. Ali Torveau knows just how fragile life can be - she sees death and tragedy every day in the trauma unit. Battling the dark forces of fate is her life's work and she doesn't want or need anything else, certainly nothing as transient as love. Plenty of women try to change her mind, but she never has any trouble saying no. Not until the day firefighter Beau Cross shows up in her ER and sets Ali’s carefully ordered world aflame.

Dandylion says: "I have Narrator Trauma"
    "Definitely recommend this one!"
Would you listen to Trauma Alert again? Why?

I would, and have! Like 5 times! I find that every time i have listened to it i get things out of it that I missed the previous times! Good story line. I would love to see this as a movie!

Which character – as performed by Nicole Vilencia – was your favorite?

    Probably Dr. Torveau...

    Any additional comments?

Aside from some unnecessary assertions by Beau Cross and her need to relieve her tension quite often, I enjoyed this book. It's easy to listen to. Good narration.
