ok, well this was a big waste of money. horrible, simply horrible...i couldn't get past the first 2 hrs...i tried i really did...but the narrator was so bad and the storyline jumped around so much i didn't know what was going on. i had just listened to a book by P.D. James so couldn't wait to dive into this one. i'm back here now to download another book, i just can't finish this one.
Great story! at first I wondered where it was going, but then it took off!!! Love a strong gun toting woman!
I read the reviews, and I knew better, but I spent the credit anyway, and boy am I sorry. I'm only an hour into listening and I seriously cannot go on. Narrator sucks...sorry...sad...but true. too bad i can't get my money back!
I read the negative reviews, and I agree at some times there was too much description...but I believe that all that is important as it sets up the next book/chapter in the Scarpetta players lives. I couldn't stop listening. I liked the way it jumped back and forth, it's like I was watching this great movie in my mind. and the narrator, Kate Reading, one word awesome! I honestly believed she was Kay and Lucy--it's just what I thought they would sound like. BTW this was the first time I have "listened" to a Scarpetta novel...I loved it and I loved the plot, etc.
I kinda liked this, but I think the real problem was the narrator. You barely heard Alex at all, it was mostly the Milo show, but some parts just got to slow and boring... I was actually glad when it was over.
I really liked the story, but then it's like he lost his train of thought and just ended the story...was really let down and not Grippando's style.
This audio book had me in the first 10 mins, and has you thinking the whole time about, what would you do? Lots of suspense, lots of surprises. Great!
This book had alot of twists and turns and alot of time I figure them out, but not this time! Great storyline, great charaters, great listening. Ron McLarty is the best narrator by far.
this was a great audio book, I found myself sitting in the car after I got home still listening cuz I just couldn't stop listening.
