The story and the performance was soo good! I loved the events from a woman's view. I told my wife that if she like "The 6th Sense" and "A Beautiful Mind" then she would love this book as nothing is as it seems right from the very beginning.
Bob Kerry's book reminded me of growing up in the 60's, joining the Navy and going to Da Nang in Viet Nam. When I 1st met him in Omaha in the late 70's I was very impressed with him.Through the years his deeds were great.
I felt like I sitting in his living room and he was telling me about his childhood and his experience in the Navy and Viet Nam.
Yes both times
I am buying the hard copy to give to my young grandson. This book had to be very hard for him to write but I am very glad he did. The next nice day I think I'll go for a walk over the Missouri on the bridge named after him.
In this 1st book you will learn about the Revolution War using the 1st Kent as a main charater. It is one thing to read history, but Jakes let you live it though the Kent family.
My knowledge of this period is mostly of the depression and crime in the western world. I had no idea what the Long March was really about. The way it is done made it even more interesting and I felt my knowledge of how Chinese communism started has increase considerably. I wish Sun's other two books were on Audible too.
