"Fantastic, especially on audio!"
You can't stop at just one. the plots, the humor, the characters all fit so well. Prichard is great as well.
I like more serious reads, but what a nice escape. got me through my marathon training!
"Entertaining, but...."
The author knows how to write and does a great job on the character development. The narrator also does a very good job. My issues are with the plot and ending (or lack thereof). This novel mixes in the supernatural, which provides for all sorts of "leaps of logic". The protagonist's successes are not due to his acts, insights, or intellect; but rather due to supernatural revelations. Further nothing ends in this book; you have to read the sequel I guess, which I'm not going to. I think the author focused too much on preaching his religious views, and the storyline came in second. Now if you're looking for a Christian Triller then you will probably like this book.
"Another great story"
If you like this series, you will not be disappointed. Well written. Good pace. Plot well thought out.
"a rant"
Rarely do I ever not finish a book, but I just couldn't take this one. A one-sided rant. No balance or context. The conclusions drawn are bizarre. A very anti-American leftist bent. Not even American missionaries are spared damnation by this author.
"A well written neat classic adventure"
A very interesting trip through the old Europe. A detective spy novel that takes you on a trip. characters well developed, a logical plot, and satisfying ending.
"disappointing"
I must agree, a soap opera, thank goodness for fast forward. The protagonist(s)did nothing (little) that altered the outcome. flawed dependent whiny protagonists are not my cup of tea. All they did was understand what the bad guys motives were before anyone else. Very good concept and plot, if cut back on the whining, and worked on the ending some, it could have been a very good story.
