Shaun Mason is a man without a mission. Not even running the news organization he built with his sister has the same urgency as it used to. Playing with dead things just doesn't seem as fun when you've lost as much as he has. But when a CDC researcher fakes her own death and appears on his doorstep with a ravenous pack of zombies in tow, Shaun has a newfound interest in life....

Mira Grant Makes involves you with her characters. She has a talent for making you interested in them from the moment they are introduced. With this second book in the series she does an amazing job of continueing this and leaves you salavating for the next book. If you have not listened to, or read the first book do so before downloading this one so you can enjoy the full experience of the worls she creates. You will not be dissapointed

It has been six weeks since the virus engulfed the world. Everyone who was infected died, and then rose again. Governments collapsed, armies fell, and civilizations turned to dust as the human race tore itself to pieces. The living are in danger of becoming extinct.… Jeff Blaine has witnessed the annihilation of his family and everything that mattered to him. When he steps outside his home for the first time since the world died, he meets Megan, George, and Jason, three other survivors who force him to accept that there may still be a reason to fight and live to see another day.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

This was not time well spent. By the time I got half way through I was only listening so I could be done with it.

Would you be willing to try another book from Patrick D'Orazio? Why or why not?

Yes. The first two books in this series were pretty good.

    Any additional comments?

By the end I wanted every character to die. This may spoil the book for anyone that wants to listen, so be warned. The book picks up at the very end of the second, and from there is just one long slog of being chased and characters trying to reconnect. They action in this book is so no stop that it goes beyond suspension of disbelief into bad action movie fight sequence. This overall made the listen very tedious. It was only stubbornness that made me hear it through to the very end. After I was done I listened to Day by Day Armageddon just so I would not have this book's disappointment stuck in my head.
