In the Tall Grass begins with a sister and brother who pull off to the side of the road after hearing a young boy crying for help from beyond the tall grass. Within minutes they are disoriented, in deeper than seems possible, and they've lost one another. The boy's cries are more and more desperate. What follows is a terrifying, entertaining, and masterfully told tale, as only Stephen King and Joe Hill can deliver.

What would have made In the Tall Grass better?

    A different reader.

Would you be willing to try another book from Stephen King and Joe Hill ? Why or why not?

Yes I love Stephen King. I don't love all of his stories but that's to be expected. You have to judge the story based on its own merit, not simply because a certain person wrote it. I don't think I've read any other books by Joe Hill, but I plan to now.

How could the performance have been better?

I really don't like to criticize someone's work when I probably couldn't do better, but the performance this reader gave was so distracting I had a hard time getting into the story. Its hard to describe accurately but he put emphasis on the wrong words in sentences and it felt like he was saying characters' lines improperly. It seems like he was just trying too hard and went over the top. Overall, his performance just made me mad. I can't really recommend this reading at all.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I think the story itself was ok, but I will probably read it for myself sometime just to see.
