Why couldn't we all learn about the 5 love languages BEFORE we got married. After a lot of self-learning in 16 years of marriage, this could have saved a lot of difficulty over the years. Don't get me wrong, there's no such thing as a quick fix but the awareness and lessons you pick up by learning the 5 love languages is invaluable for a marriage in any state or stage. The actual reading isn't riviting but Gary does a very good job explaining and providing examples.
This was a decent listen but not great ... certainly not as good as the ratings indicate. Humorous walk thru of history and presidents.
Gave me very real, helpful ways I can increase energy and help improve how I think and act. Provided me with habits that have changed my life.
Very thoughtful insights as to grace and the wonderful aspects of how God and Jesus have given us a gift that is priceless. Provoked me to think of ways I could apply it to every day life and my relationships with my kids, my wife and my friends ... and especially people I don't like.
I enjoyed the way that John has weaved the history of the times and daily life in rural Mississippi with a courtroom and legal drama. It was a little slower than other novels written but I still thouroughly enjoyed it.
A must read for anyone that appreciates a great leader. Jack does a good job of succinctly summarizing the key aspects of what made him one of the best leaders of our time. Well done.
