I wanted to like this book. But I just can not sit through the dry, single voice, monotone narration. I'd love to have this with a different narrator so perhaps I could get past the first 4 chapters. Choosing this narrator was a disservice to the author.
No. Terrible narration.
Flat, monotone, lacking ANY connection to the characters or the action in the story. This man sounds like he is board and wanting to be somewhere else and the feeling soon rubs off on the listener.
Listen to something else
No more of this narrator please.
The narrator was FANTASTIC. His tone, accents, use of voices, etc. made the experience
The attitude of the bored super-genius villain was a nice change of pace.
This is the first of his I have heard but I will put him on top of my list.
LOVED the narrator.
I was very surprised at how fast the author "hooked" me and how loathe I was to put it down and get back to work. A novel of Super Heroes and Vilians with a human & humorous twist. The Super Heros are interesting but it's the life of the Super Vilians, as glimpsed through the mind of Dr. Impossible, that caught my imagination. What does it feel like to loose, again, in a super fight? What drives a genius to viliany and where does he get the money for his fancy lairs? What do villians do in ther spare time? I found myself laughing out loud in several places and sounding like an idiot trying to explain some of the funnier bits to my ever-patient wife.
