"Three strikes..."
In my opinion:
1) Raging ideologues do not engender a comfortable environment.
2) Jokes should be funny.
3) Advice should be useful.
Maybe I picked the wrong episode with which to introduce myself to Susie, but a discussion on sex & economics that isn't entertaining and illuminates neither sex nor economics is destined to merely bore and annoy.
Humor? Susie seems to be the kind of person that thinks just saying "Dan Quayle" would be amusing. If you want funny liberals, try Al Franken or "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me". I'm not a liberal, but I appreciate good humor when I see it. Susie is not funny.
Politics? Nothing wrong with a little jab here and there. Heck, exploring the politics of sex could be quite interesting--if it were truly an exercise in understanding. However, Susie seems far more interested in establishing a dictatorship of the proleteriat than in speaking frankly about sex to Joe & Jane America. She probably knows quite a bit about sex, but her need to rant inhibits dialogue with the listener.
I'm not impressed.
