For a vampire killer like Jane, having Leo Pellisier as a boss took some getting used to. But now, someone is out to take his place as Master Vampire of the city of New Orleans, and is not afraid to go through Jane to do it. After an attack that’s tantamount to a war declaration, Leo knows his rival is both powerful and vicious, but Leo’s not about to run scared. After all, he has Jane. But then, a plague strikes, one that takes down vampires and makes their masters easy prey.

Maureen says: "Best of the series by far!"

I have loved Faith Hunter's writing since her Seraphs Series(I have signed copies). But the Jane Yellowrock novels have fast become my favorite series of all the authors I read...er well listen to. (I am new to the audible books experience) The story line is unique and inventive and the characters well developed. Khristine Hvams was very easy to listen to and I was easily able to discern what characters were who. I look at all the books being made into movies and think that this series would make an awesome movie. I have met Faith Hunter and she was a very genuine nice person. Keep writing Faith... we need MORE!

Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux and her lover, the lethally beautiful archangel Raphael, have returned home to New York only to face an uncompromising new evil. A vampire has attacked a girls' school---the assault one of sheer, vicious madness---and it is only the first act. Rampant bloodlust takes vampire after vampire, threatening to make the streets run with blood.

Would you consider the audio edition of Archangel's Consort to be better than the print version?

I can't compare audio to print. It's like apples and oranges to me as long as the Voice talent is a good one like this series has.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Archangel's Consort?

When her mortality in his blood saved him.

Which character – as performed by Justine Eyre – was your favorite?

    Bluebell (grins)

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No book is one I can listen to in one sitting....

    Any additional comments?

This is an interesting take on good and evil and its relationship to each other as well as to what it's true nature is. This is not run of the mill formula romance or even paranormal fantasy. It is a new rich world where the rules are different than what you are used to and challenges your preconceived notions of many theological ideas and legends.
