On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

    Elaina says: "Wonderful!"
"Brene Brown will be your best friend."

What did you love best about The Power of Vulnerability?

Once you start to listen to Brene Brown in this live recording of her seminar, you will be very disappointed that some of her previous books were even narrated by someone else! Brene is as down to earth and honest a presenter on issues like vulnerability, shame and self compassion. She is very funny and self effacing in her presentation and makes you identify with what she and countless others feel - with you.

If you are looking for real inspiration in dealing with your self crazy talk and allowing your authentic self to shine, this one is for you. On repeat.

What about Brené Brown’s performance did you like?

Everything! I want to be her BFF!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Her honesty throughout is truly inspiring and moving.

Life is the ultimate game of hide and seek... and the good news is that you're it! With the combination of playful irreverence and penetrating insight that made him a legend in Western philosophy, Alan Watts investigates the surprisingly liberating concept of "the universe as play" found at the heart of Hinduism, Zen, and other wisdom traditions.

Where does You're It! rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

By far the BEST book and I will never stop listening to it. Doesn't matter where you start or where you finish. Where has he been all my life??

What does the narrator bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Alan Watts has such a way of painting a picture with his voice that you lose yourself in his words.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    Wonderment.

    Any additional comments?

There are many Youtube items on this man if you want to check him out, but if you are interested in these philosophies, this is a grand investment.

Fifteen years after his number-one New York Times best seller, Ageless Body, Timeless Mind, Deepak Chopra revisits "the forgotten miracle" - the body's infinite capacity for change and renewal. You cannot take advantage of this miracle, Chopra says, unless you are willing to completely reinvent your body, transforming it from a material object to a dynamic, flowing process.

Where does Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I loved listening to this, it wasn't loud and in your face as some can be, it was gentle and thoughtful and even humorous at times. Listened while driving, while painting and while walking. I finished and then started again. I don't think you can listen to it too many times.

What did you like best about this story?

I really like how Chopra insists that science is important and that energy is fundamental to existence.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I looked forward to going to work so I could put it on in the car - twice a day.

    Any additional comments?

I will be listening to more of his books!
