    After listening to another british comedy fiction (In Your Dreams) which was very funny and enjoyable to listen to, I bought Freddy and Fredericka. Okay, now imagine Monty Python only the actors aren't funny and they think they're being serious dramatic actors.

    Inane banter over ear-size, estate names, and other worthless topics dominate the story. I've got a pretty good tolerance for silly humor (I do like Monty Python) but this was just dumb...

    I gave Part I of the Count of Monte Cristo a 5-star rating. This volume lacked a little bit of the suspense of the first, but I'm still hooked. Just bought Part III and I'm listening to it as quickly as I can.

    As I said on the first volume: "great audio book!"

    I'm not completely a fan of most "classic" novels in that the archaic language sometimes stops me from becoming immersed in the tale. However, despite said archaic language (and a quirky narrator) this is probably the best audio book I've purchased from Audible. I've just purchased Part II and am planning on a back-to-back listen of all 3 parts.

    I didn't totally know what to make of this title when I first started listening. However, as I got into the book I was pleasantly surprised to find the story captivating and the narration very good. Not exactly as engrossing as some of the better Stephen King novels (to which this has been compared) but very good!

    This is a decent book with a decent premise, but given to long rambling narratives that have you reaching for the fast-forward dial. I assume the author is attempting to set the stage and provide background information with these side-bars, but do we really need a 15 minute discussion of toilet tissue?

    Had the book been ~12hrs and had all the garbage cut out I'd give it 3 stars, but 6 hours of filler makes it too much of a waste of time.
