This is a signature title in The Colonial Radio Theatre's meticulously researched American Heritance series of accurate historical programs. By culling through the records of the Captain's logs, the Colonial Radio Theatre brings to life the adventures of the USS Constitution during the War of 1812. Now you can sail with Old Ironsides as she finds herself being chased by a squadron of five British Warships. An amazing but true story of Yankee ingenuity!

Dubbed the American Tolkien by Time magazine, George R. R. Martin has earned international acclaim for his monumental cycle of epic fantasy. Now the number-one New York Times best-selling author delivers the fifth book in his spellbinding landmark series - as both familiar faces and surprising new forces vie for a foothold in a fragmented empire.

    "Nothing happened"
    Overall

I been waiting for this book to come out. I LOVED the the other books. I listened to the as fast as I could load them. I was a little disappointed with this one. I felt like nothing happened in over forty hours. I thought for sure the dragon queen would make it back to the seven kingdoms. Is Martin simply slowing the plot down to sell more books?

The end is coming. Logen Ninefingers might only have one more fight in him but it’s going to be a big one. Battle rages across the North, the King of the Northmen still stands firm and there’s only one man who can stop him. His oldest friend and his oldest enemy. It’s time for the Bloody-Nine to come home. With too many masters and too little time, Superior Glokta is fighting a different kind of war. A secret struggle in which no-one is safe and no-one can be trusted.

I have listened to over 100 books. This is the first time I have taken the time to write a review. The story was terrific. The narrator was fantastic. I agree the the ending could have been more complete. Still lots of fun.

History is rewritten in an instant as the future smashes into the past, and high-tech hardware goes head to head with World War Two technology. In the chaos that ensues, thousands are killed, but the maelstrom has only just begun. The veterans of Pearl Harbor have never seen a helicopter, or a cruise missile - let alone nanotechnology, ceramic bullets, and F22 Raptor stealth jetfighters. Allied and Axis forces are then caught in a desperate struggle to gain the upper hand.

Great concept. To bad it was filled will the author's personal agenda. Making the the people of the past look like racist animals served NO value. I really believe that is a task force went back in time there would be far more interesting issues than the sex and race of the modern crews. I guess the author did not agree. He beat the sexist and racail drum so load that i could not hear the story. Apparently he is more interested in his politics than telling an exciting tale.

I listened to this with hope that there would be so new wisdom. There was not. It was the same old hair touching and averting eyes explained by past experts. I wanted to see some senario outside the bar scene.

He challenged the greatest empire on earth with a ragtag bunch of renegades and brought it to its knees. This is the real story of the pirates of the Caribbean. Henry Morgan, a 20-year-old Welshman, crossed the Atlantic in 1655, hell-bent on making his fortune. Over the next three decades, his exploits in the Caribbean became legendary. His daring attacks on the mighty Spanish empire on land and at sea determined the fates of kings and queens, and his victories helped shape the destiny of the New World.
