Prosecuting attorney in the Manson trial Vincent Bugliosi held a unique insider's position in one of the most baffling and horrifying cases of the 20th century: the cold-blooded Tate-LaBianca murders carried out by Charles Manson and four of his followers. What motivated Manson in his seemingly mindless selection of victims, and what was his hold over the young women who obeyed his orders? Now available for the first time in unabridged audio, the gripping story of this famous and haunting crime is brought to life by acclaimed narrator Scott Brick.

Good narrator, interesting stuff. But on the whole i think the book was a little bit too long for its own good.

Also, it's kind of hard to not be disgusted by an author who spends half of the book to describe how he tries to sentence people to death.

Death penalty is medieval craziness that should not exist in a civilized country, not today and not in 1970s :-| Be warned!

Few novels have had as profound an impact on American culture as On the Road. Pulsating with the rhythms of 1950s underground America, jazz, sex, illicit drugs, and the mystery and promise of the open road, Kerouac's classic novel of freedom and longing defined what it meant to be "beat" and has inspired generations of writers, musicians, artists, poets, and seekers who cite their discovery of the book as the event that "set them free".

Sure, there is a nice mood in this book. But after the first hour or two , you "get it" and after that it's all the same stuff over and over again.

First half was very interesting, but towards the end it got a bit boring and repetitive.
