This book is so full of baseless assertions, I could not get even a third of the way through it. It reads like a socialist propaganda pamphlet.
This was a general book with little information specific to the Vizsla and some of the information was downright inapplicable and wrong about a Vizsla.
Monotonous delivery of an intermittently interesting book. I've read Rise and Fall..., Decline and Fall,... and everything from Wuthering to Principia Mathematicus. This was dry, boring, and more of an autobiographical overview of what the author has done than anything else.
Any variation in tone would have been welcome.
It was relatively easy to understand give the subject.
None were believable or enjoyable.
This book was more difficult to get through than Bleak House, Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, and Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire... Not because it was long, but because it was mind numbing in its predictable affected tone. From the first to the last it was just awful.
I've enjoyed Koontz books in the past. However, this was one of the most predictable, cliche', and artless books I've ever suffered through. It is the sort of book one can clearly see is a rip-off of the 90s movie Fallen. That movie, although not great, was much better than this "story."
