"lots of people vote and don't write reviews"
Some doo-dah down below in the reviews said obviously the publisher posted reviews to prop up this work. I don't write reviews often because I am too busy and other people have said what I would have written already. But I do vote. This book is about seeing yourself the way you resist seeing yourself and seeing others with a new-found compassion because of it. It is about our willingness to see the speck in another's eye while ignoring our own log in the eye. And it offers hope and love as the rewards for our efforts. It is my favorite Pema work though I love everything I have heard by her - probably all her audiobooks. I do audios as my eyes are not so good anymore, must have been all those logs :-D , and I drive an hour a day to my job which is the perfect listening time for this work - get ready to see things differently before work and process before I get home. God bless Pema and her work.
"Just what I needed"
I had gotten another audiobook about the Akashic records and was very disappointed. This one is NOT about accessing the Akashic records. It is a reading of the many readings Casey did and case histories. The most important thing I walked away with was the understanding of how past lives effect our current life and how it is not so important to know the specifics of your own past lives if you can understand the way it works. I can make a lot of guesses about my past lives just based on these case histories and knowing your past life is not so important as understanding what it is you need to do now and do it - which is basically to forgive everyone and be the best person you can be from moment to moment. Most of us know our own shortcomings but want to blame others. This was a very worthy use of my time and I have listened more than once and will listen to it again in the future I am sure.
"Opens the heart and soul with truth and laughter"
I am a child of the 50's and 60's. I do not know if this makes Ram Dass especially able to speak the language needed to clear away the junk and let the oneness flow through a heart, but he is the finest speaker I have absorbed in many years of listening to keep the vision clear. Tibetan monks very inspirational, clear, worth the time... but Ram Dass is truly western and speaks from this spot making the other realms accessible straight through the heart. This recording is clear and divided into sessions easy to step away from and return to with ease.
"poor quality, not mp3 available"
I love Ram Dass...but this is a muffled poor quality recording compared to any of the cds or past audiotapes I have owned...AND I am new to this setting and did not realize it is not an mp3 download so I am stuck with trying to listen in my car or on my computer neither of which is a place I want to sit and listen...BUYER's Remorse
