Wife, Mother, Mema, Sister and love to read, now love to listen. Listening keeps me able to do other things, like sew, cook, clean :(, walk and play on the computer. Also helps me get to sleep, can't hear the DH snore :)

LAPD cop Scott James is not doing so well, not since a shocking nighttime assault by unidentified men killed his partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty - until he meets his new partner. Maggie is not doing so well, either. The German shepherd survived three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan sniffing explosives before she lost her handler to an IED and sniper attack, and her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s. They are each other’s last chance.

This was a very good story about a man and a dog. I know weird, not my usual choice. Well read and entertaining as well as a good mystery. I would recommend it, but it isn't an Elvis Cole novel.

Like his father before him, Brian Holloway is a safe man. That is, his specialty is opening safes. Every job is a little mystery, and he has yet to encounter a lock he can't break or a box he can't crack. But the day Holloway gets called in to open a rare, antique safe in a famous author's library, his skills open a door that should have remained closed.

Narration was great and the story keeps you listening to the end and wanting more! I really want more so I hope we get another one that will fill in the missing parts. 20 Minutes of this book is a preview of a Harry Bosch book. Well worth the price, although it's misleading to say 1.33 hours, when the story really is only 1.10 min. I think you'll really enjoy the story, it's really good.

Andy Barber has been an assistant district attorney in his suburban Massachusetts county for more than 20 years. He is respected in his community, tenacious in the courtroom, and happy at home with his wife, Laurie, and son, Jacob. But when a shocking crime shatters their New England town, Andy is blindsided by what happens next: his 14-year-old son is charged with the murder of a fellow student.

Boy, can't say to much without spoiling the story. This was really a good listen, and Grover Gardner was terrific as narrator. It's an odd story and even though you think it's predictable it isn't. Enjoy

LAPD lieutenant detective Decker and his wife, Rina, have willingly welcomed fifteen-year-old Gabriel Whitman into their home. While the enigmatic teen seems to be adapting easily, Decker knows only too well the secrets adolescents keep - witnessed by the tragic suicide of another teen, Gregory Hesse, a student at Bell and Wakefield, one of the city’s most exclusive prep schools. Gregory’s mother refuses to believe her son shot himself and convinces Decker to look deeper. What he finds disturbs him. The gun used in the tragedy was stolen....

The narrator was good, the story was awful. Don't spend your money on this one, the teenage love story in this was just so bad, and frankly they were much to young for the plot to be realistic. I've always enjoyed the Decker stories, but this was just really bad. The only reason I even kept listening was because the narrator was pretty good.

The story dragged on and I fast forwarded through most of the teenage love story stuff.

As a therapist specializing in sexual issues, psychiatrist Dr. Morgan Snow isn't easily shocked, or shaken, as readers of the popular "Butterfield Institute" novels know. There are times, however, when the need for her services leads her out of the office... and into unfamiliar worlds. In these stories, the therapist matches her wits -and her training - against three men of mystery: Jack Reacher, John Rain, and Cotton Malone.

Really enjoyed this short book, all of my favorite characters read by their narrators. Well written, true to form characters. Can't say to much or I'll be spoiling it for you. If you like the series of books with Cotton Malone, Jack Reacher and John Rain you will get a good chuckle out of this book. Enjoy!

The thrilling new Virgil Flowers novel from the #1 New York Times best-selling author. The superstore chain PyeMart has its sights set on a Minnesota river town, but two very angry groups want to stop it: local merchants, fearing for their businesses, and environmentalists, predicting ecological disaster. The protests don't seem to be slowing the project, though, until someone decides to take matters into his own hands.

I really have enjoyed all of the Virgil Flowers books, the humor and secret thoughts of Virgil are most intriguing and I can't usually figure out who done it until almost the very end. The narration is excellent. A joy to listen to.

Bravery. Honor. Sacrifice. These are more than mere words to trained Marine sniper Nathan McBride. He’s never backed away from danger and he’s not about to start now, even if it means confronting the cold-blooded interrogator who tortured him to the brink of death more than a decade ago.

If it wasn't for Dick Hill as the narrator I would have turned this one off and moved on to something else. I can listen to Dick Hill no matter what the story is. This book was stilted, predictable and just plain dull. The whole story could have been done in an hour. I like his first book, but not this one. Don't waste your credit unless you're like me and like to listen to Dick Hill's voice.
