To everyone at Meridian High School, Michael Vey is an ordinary 14-year-old. In fact, the only thing that seems to set him apart is the fact that he has Tourette's syndrome. But Michael is anything but ordinary. Michael has special powers. Electric powers....

The book starts off fairly slow, but by the end you won't want to stop listening. The characters were well developed, the plot was sound, and I had no issue with the narration. I listened to it with my 12 year old daughter and she loved it. She said wanted to READ the book, and enjoy it a second time. Overall it's a good beginning for, what seems will be, a great series.

Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the ten consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

"Master Bard, thy name is Brandon Sanderson!"
    Overall

Brandon Sanderson redefines epic in one of the finest fantasy books I have ever experienced. I am a huge fan of Robert Jordan's books, but this will be a series to match The Wheel Of Time. With never a dull moment, I often found I couldn't sleep as the author pulled me into this this book and refused to let go. I truly felt as though I stole the book for only one credit. This is simply a book you can't pass up!

In the north, the new Godking has a plan. If it comes to fruition, no one will have the power to stop him. Kylar Stern has no choice. To save his friends---and perhaps his enemies---he must accomplish the impossible: assassinate a goddess.

    "Worth my credits"
    Overall

Lately I have had a rough time finding a good series worth spending my credits on. This series, while not the best I have listened to, is still well worth every credit I spent. The narrator was great, but one of my main issues with this series is all the swearing and foul language. It's an enjoyable series.

For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

Sanderson does it again! I simply loved what he did with book 12 of the wheel of time, so I thought I would try another of his books. This book was very different but I easily found my self getting lost in the world that Sanderson created. I very highly recommend. GREAT READ!
