This novel is a story inspired from John Grisham's own childhood in Arkansas. The narrator is a farm boy named Luke Chandler, age seven, who lives in the cotton fields with his family in a little house that's never been painted. The Chandlers farm 80 acres, and when the cotton is ready they hire a truckload of Mexicans and a family from the Ozarks to help harvest it. For six weeks they pick cotton, battle the heat, the rain, the fatigue, and sometimes, each other.

    Story

I found this story was quite boring.
The reading was great, the characters were well developed but the story line was mostly based on the mundane existence of a poor middle American farming family.
    I wouldn't recommend it...

Frank W. Abagnale was one of the most daring conmen, forgers, imposters, and escape artists in history. In his brief but notorious criminal career, Abagnale donned a pilot's uniform and copiloted a Pan Am jet, masqueraded as the supervising resident of a hospital, practiced law without a license, passed himself off as a college sociology professor, and cashed over $2.5 million in forged checks, all before he was 21. His story is now a film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks.

Well read (although there were times when some accents were a little mixed or not very credible).
    An amazing story.
I would definitely recommend for anyone that enjoys action and comedy.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

Jan says: "What a great surprise!"
    "fantastic but really slow"
    Overall

This is a very long audiobook. The characters were all very well acted out.
The beauty is in the way it is written and read and the subtleties in this.
The story is very slow and not a lot happens through most of the story.
    beautiful and moving though.

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

    "Great but dark"
    Overall

This was a fantastic story. Really well read by a few different narrators.
The man who was acting out most of the kids didn't speak a lot like kid which I found hard.
Loved it but quite a dark story line.
