Reading has always been my guilty pleasure. I would take stacks of books from the library. Now I listen to Audible.

Top plastic surgeon Elijah Creem is renowned for his skills in the operating room, and for his wild, no-expense-spared "industry parties", bringing in underage exotic dancers and models for nights of drugs, champagne, and uninhibited sex. That is, until Detective Alex Cross busts one of Creem's lavish soirees and ruins his fun. Now Creem is willing to do anything to avoid going to jail. But Alex doesn't have time to dwell on that case. A beautiful woman has been found murdered in her car, a lock of her hair viciously ripped off. Then a second woman is found hanging from a sixth-floor window with a brutal scar slashed across her stomach....

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great as were most of the story lines.

I couldn't understand how Alex, of all people, didn't think that his house was bugged when all of the private information was coming out.

The story was so visual it made the characters come alive for me.

The twists and turns and surprises kept me reading longer than I should have. I finished before my sister so I backed it up and listened to the second half of the book again.

Thank you to Sandra Brown and Joyce Bean for this wonderful book.

Detective Alex Cross is a family man at heart--nothing matters more to him than his children, his grandmother, and his wife Bree. His love of his family is his anchor, and gives him the strength to confront evil in his work. One man knows this deeply, and uses Alex's strength as a weapon against him in the most unsettling and unexpected novel of James Patterson's career.

With an ailing mother to care for, Lisa Grant takes the first job she can find: research assistant to District Attorney Scott Buchanan. What Lisa expects to be a mind-numbingly boring task turns into anything but when a missing-persons case draws her attention. The details of the case are engrossing: an entire family — father, mother, and two children — disappeared without a trace more than 28 years ago. Except that’s not all: the mother in a photo Lisa finds could be her own twin.

Fabulous book with all of its twists and turns and a narrator whom I think is the best. WOW! Each of the characters and their stories were written so well. Loved It!

After all is said and done, I HAVE QUESTIONS and I would love answers. I wish there was an epilogue to tighten things up.

For Lieutenant Eve Dallas of the NYPSD, the job is a useful reminder of what she has to be grateful for this season. Hosting Roarke's big Irish family for the holiday may be challenging, but it’s a joyful improvement on her own dark childhood. Other couples aren’t as lucky as Eve and Roarke. The Reinholds, for example, are lying on the floor of their Downing Street apartment, stabbed and bludgeoned almost beyond recognition. Those who knew them are stunned - and even more heartbroken by the overwhelming evidence that they were murdered by their own son.

How fabulous to hear the voices of Dallas and Roarke, as well as all of the NYPSD and the family from Ireland. I am always amazed at the characterization of each person in the story.

I thought that this one was the best so far. Thank You
