"Another great one...but"
The book was a great installment - finally back to Elaina and Clay! Elaina kicks butt in this one and we even get to meet some previously mentioned, but long lost pack brothers. The only problem was the reader...ugh...she had really bad voices. For example: Jeremy sounded like an 80 year old pervert - previously he was much sexier. Oh well, the story was excellent and prepares us for more from Elaina as she ascends to the head of the pack!
"Fun to fill the gaps"
I enjoyed listening to these short stories to "fill the gaps" in the novels. Having finished all the available Sookie books it was nice to have this as an option, but I wish there were more!
"Blah...couldn't get through it"
I was so disappointed in this installment of the series. I am totally in love with "the pack" and liked the witches...but I just couldn't get through this book. A lot of blah, blah, blah....after a while I shut it down and went on to book 6. I really don't think I missed much by skipping it.
"My favorite so far!"
I started out as a fan of True Blood and then started reading the books. The first few were good, but I wasn't sure they'd hold my interest. They really started to grow on me as the characters developed and kept coming back time and time again. This one is my favorite so far - but you have to read them in order to get it! Don't skip, it's worth the wait! There were times I worried about Sookie while I was away from my audio - feeling like I left her stranded because I couldn't hear what happened next! That's what I love in an audio book. I can't wait to drive home and hear more.
"Just OK"
Shiver was OK. The characters were simple and the story line fairly transparent. I have never heard of teenagers who drink so much coffee, or live such boring lives - nothing excites these people! Grace's parents should be called into Social Services for neglect - how do they not notice a boy living in their home? You would think that a town with werewolves would be more exciting or mysterious. The switching back and forth with readers/characters became annoying and the "cure"...oh please.
"Loved this - read it AFTER Bitten!"
Great to hear about Clayton and Jeremy's relationship before Bitten. Loved having the history of the pack! Hope there is another one ASAP!
