Penniless and 34th in line to the throne, Lady Georgiana Rannoch finds herself in a truly draining state of affairs. To escape her hateful brother, Georgie accepts an invitation from the Queen to represent the royals at a wedding in Transylvania. But at the macabre- looking castle, Georgie finds the bride with blood running down her chin, and a wedding guest is poisoned.

I love the Royal Spyness series. Hearing how "the other half" lived in that period is good fun and I enjoy trying to figure out "who dunnit". Overall an enjoyable series and Katheryn Kellgren is an excellent narrator. Her voice characterizations alone make the books worth listening to.

A larger-than-life hero with a towering personality, Robin Olds was a graduate of West Point and an inductee in the National College Football Hall of Fame for his All-American performance for Army. In World War II, Olds quickly became a top fighter pilot and squadron commander by the age of 22—a double ace with twelve aerial victories. But it was in Vietnam where the man became a legend.

    Story

I met Robin Olds in 1994 at an airshow where I was the Pilot/Performer Liaison. He mentions in the book that he flew his old P-51 in 1994 and it was at that airshow. I had some one on one time with him as I chauffeured him around and if I had but known what I know now, I would have had lots to talk to him about. What an interesting man, and a real American hero.

Five days after Owen Zastava Pitt pushed his insufferable boss out of a 14th story window, he woke up in the hospital with a scarred face, an unbelievable memory, and a job offer. It turns out that monsters are real. All the things from myth, legend, and B-movies are out there, waiting in the shadows. Some of them are evil, and some are just hungry. Monster Hunter International is the premier eradication company in the business. And now Owen is their newest recruit.

Michael Korda's Hero is the story of an epic life on a grand scale: a revealing, in-depth, and gripping biography of the extraordinary, mysterious, and dynamic Englishman whose daring exploits and romantic profile, including his blond, sun-burnished good looks and flowing white robes, made him an object of intense fascination, still famous the world over as "Lawrence of Arabia".

It turns out, I knew nothing about Lawrence of Arabia. He was a complicated, complex man, and his story was fascinating.

In The Kingmaker's Daughter, number one New York Times best-selling author Philippa Gregory presents the riveting story of Anne Neville, her sister Isabel, and their ever-changing fortunes. The Kingmaker's Daughter is the gripping and ultimately tragic story of the daughters of the man known as the "Kingmaker", the most powerful magnate in England through the Cousins' Wars. In the absence of a son and heir, he uses the two girls as pawns in his political games.

I've listened to several of Philipa Gregory's books and they are all great. I enjoy Bianca Amato's narration as much as any I've heard.
