Three stars only because of the narrator, otherwise a 5 star book. I listened to "Smooth Talking Stranger" a year or so ago. I recently discovered the first two of the series. I loved "Sugar Daddy".Both of those books were great and had wonderful narrators. This book however, I could barely finished because of the narrator. Her voice is so wrong for this book. Her voices for the women made them seem old. It wasn't even right for the men, especially Hardy, I was so glad when the book finished and not because of the story.
I remember having to read "Hawaii" in High School. That is what this book is like. I really enjoyed this book even if it was really long. I had to refer to my computer or husband regarding some history facts, places, or people but I felt I really learned more about history than I did in school (or maybe I just can't remember that far back :) I loved the characters, and how their lives intertwine. I cannot wait for book 2 to come out later this year..
Nice story: cute skinny girl living next to the jerk that is a hunk but not really a jerk but actually the "perfect" guy. Romance, sex, suspense, murder, this book has it all. Even the Narrator was good which can make or break even a good book
