I'm a huge fan of the Sigma novels. The rest are done by a different narrator who is MUCH MUCH better. The story is well worth it and the narration isn't awful, but it isn't anywhere near the quality of the rest of the series.

All of Mr. Bryson's offerings are extremely well written and wonderfully educational with splashes of side-splitting humor. This one, while not skimping on the education and craftmanship, lifts the humor to new levels.

Great book!

I highly recomend his, "Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid" where Bryson thrusts his humor into the stratosphere.

The tone and mood put me in mind of a Halloween story. The narrator does his usual excellent job and the story manages to capture the esscence of Pendergast wonderfully in such an short tale. Fans of the series will not be dissapointed in the least!

I have heard all of Mr. Auberjonois's narrations of the Pendergast series and in this short story he continues his great work.

I am a huge fan of the series. This is definitely one of the weaker books. I am inclined, however, to believe that this sub par book was necessary to set up the finale of the Helen Trilogy. The story was still excellent, but not up to Pendegast standards.

I view it as a giant trailor for the next book. Looking at it that way makes me salivate in anticipation for the next one. Lots of unanswered questions.

If you're a fan of the series, it is well worth the credit; even though you'll be slightly let down.

The Pendergast novels are extraordinary! This one is probably my favorite stand alone story of the series. It would have been nice to see it in an unabridged version, but nonetheless, it is a fabulous listen! The narrator is excellent.

A little Sherlock Holmes, a little James Bond, a little Stephen King, a lot of fun!

This is a totally differnt vampire story than the recently popularized Twilight and 1st blood stuff. These monsters are disturbing in the extreme. The authors go to great lengths the force the reader into imagining one worst case senerio after another. The old Romanian fellow, their take on Van Helsing, is very well constructed and clever. I highly recommend it and will sure get the next book (The Fall) as soon as it hits.

The story was really great. I recommend it and all of the Pendergast novels. The naration wasn't up to par with the later novel's though.

Being a huge fan of the Sigma force novels, I was a bit dissapointed by this one. Though it is certainly worth the read, it didn't leave me with the "WOW" factor the previous ones did.

It did a very good job of setting up several possible future plots, so I suppose it may all be worth it.

This book is much less supernatural than than the previous two. This supernaturalness is what, in my mind, separates Sigma force adventures from James Bond or Jason Bourne sagas.

But, as I said earlier, it's still a pretty good listen. Well, worth your time. Especially if you're a fan.
