Le Show is a program of satire, humor, and commentary about the week's news. Comedy sketches written and performed by multi-talented multimedia artist Harry Shearer, interwoven with an eclectic, ever-changing blend of music; from world to pop, soul to jazz. Shearer says about Le Show, "I do it because I don't do standup, and I don't do sitcoms, and the radio broadcast enables me to do what I think is funny in a broadcast medium without having to listen either to network executives or Canadian producers."

The somewhat obscure oldies music is fine, but the tremendously editorialized "news" items are painful to listen to. Clearly a lot of research goes into le production, but it should really be identified as le political announcement rather than as an information- or entertainment-oriented show.

I really have to agree with most of the reviews about the 1-month Inside Mac Radio subscriptions, with posted comments like: "It is like a bad AM radio show, gives no useful information, and the hosts sound like bad imitations of "Valley Girls" with a vocabulary that uses words like dude, baby, way cool, and sick. It is a 35 minute illiterate commercial that you pay $9.95 a month for", and "this person does not understand his audience ... it seems like a love-fest just so people who are on the show can sell their products. Or maybe he is just lazy."

The new products discussed during the short programs (including many, many commercial breaks) only have their press releases and spec sheets read aloud. Interviews are rarely interesting or informative, but are filled with inside jokes and technical jargon that many listeners do not appreciate.

If you want to learn about lots of new computer bags, or about any product from Adobe, then there may be one or two nuggets of information per program.

But for value for your money, I'd recommend the more objective, informative, entertaining, community-oriented and listener-friendly 2 1/2 hour Your Mac Life instead, also available on Audible.
