Was great to hear more about Enders Parents but left me wanting more really, and the intro to Jane was cool too but noticed Speaker for the dead contradicted a few things from the short story other than that great, The first published Enders Game where alright was sure glad he did the novel, Over all not sorry I added this to my collection at all!
Oh and the narration was great also.

The date is 1966 of the Galactic Era, almost three thousand years from now, and the Republic, created by the human race - but not yet dominated by it - finds itself in an all-out war. They stand against the Teroni Federation, an alliance of races that resent Man's growing military and economic power. The main battles are taking place in the Spiral Arm and toward the Core. But far out on the Rim, the Theodore Roosevelt is one of three ships charged with protecting the Phoenix Cluster.

I found this book by accident looking for something else but I really enjoyed it a lot! I often wondered why no one has done movie like this book knowing most start out as books I should of known to look to books I suppose a few times I thought if I had any writing talents I'd attempt something like it my self thank god I didn't have to!
I drive truck over the road and do a lot of night driving this sort of book has no problem keeping me alert on long boring nights driving the highways and interstates. Think I will enjoy the whole set.

Ursis nodded soberly out the Hyperscreens toward the merchant ships, then turned to Brim. "Out there, Wilf Ansor," he brooded, "are real heroes of war. To fight from behind disruptors of warship is something anyone can do. One can always count on lucky shooting to save him from disaster, or heavy armor plate at least. But to face enemy with only black void and thin sheet of hullmetal separating you from disruptors, and then stay in formation, that is kind of bravery we Sodeskayans record in Great Books."

In the aftermath of his terrible war, Ender Wiggin disappeared, and a powerful voice arose: the Speaker for the Dead, who told the true story of the Bugger War. Now, long years later, a second alien race has been discovered by Portuguese colonists on the planet Lusitania. But again the aliens' ways are strange and frightening...again, humans die. And it is only the Speaker for the Dead, who is also Ender Wiggin the Xenocide, who has the courage to confront the mystery...and the truth.

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

Kapila says: "6 titles in the series so far"

I drive truck over the road not that it's the only thing I can do but I enjoy the constant travel, but some times gets boring late at night for someone with a high IQ especially, and XM Radio is like my best friend some times, found the Audible books on channel 163 and heard a few chapters of speaker for the dead and loved it but didn't hear from the beginning and looked it up and found it's a squeal for Enders Game and decided to start there! And am glad I did, kept my mind occupied while driving late at night. I really enjoyed this book I give it 5 stars my self a must read if you like sifi and smart kids. I will collect the whole Ender saga.
Thank you Audible and very special thanks to Orson Scott Card
