Where does Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    Number one !

What was one of the most memorable moments of Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl?

Her thankfulness for where she was! Falling in puppy love and having hope even when the adults were losing it!

What does Selma Blair bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She spoke to me as Ann! I felt like I was inside Ann's thoughts emotions wishes dreams! I know she is a fully grown woman but her voice gave the innocence Ann deserved to be given! She did Ann justice. I have heard many but none as hauntingly portrayed as she. Although we know the end was horrific. She broke it to use sympathetically as a family member would! Chilling!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Her last passage! That's all I can say!

    Any additional comments?

I read the children's version as mandatory reading as a child! I wanted to know all there was left. I heard there were other versions but never had the time to read them. Now on my commute to school or cleaning or cooking I can listen and its just awesome!

Vermont in winter come on!!!lol!!!! I just want to say if you decided to try it, you will not be disappointed! sit back and enjoy the show!!!

Wow and this was written in the 14th century?! Creepy and real.even if you don't believe in an after life this will still mess you up. Like a horror story. The book was greatly translated. I am italian and know it pretty well. But my translation would bring a reader within dante's underworld journey. The performance was great. His voice was creepy and perfect to listen to for the full affect. You can listen again and get even more disturbed than the prior listen. Bellissimo!!!!!grazie.molto bene!!!!

I saw the movie and loved it so I wanted to read the book to compare! The book was even better. I couldn't put it down. I made time to listen. Great coming of age book. But even better for adults. Writing clear and descriptive. The narrarator was soothing and invitive. The disturbing back story was not overpowering. Which made the read not soppy and uncomfortable. A great great listen.

For the first time in history, the secrets of the living brain are being revealed by a battery of high-tech brain scans devised by physicists. Now what was once solely the province of science fiction has become a startling reality. Recording memories, telepathy, videotaping our dreams, mind control, avatars, and telekinesis are not only possible; they already exist.

I think Daniel Tammet is an amazing find. Sweet and shy but as the late great astonishing Kim Peek learning there is a world out there that they fit in. Even if it is in a different way from some peoples norm. I have a unique mind and have always felt as though I were a freak. I am not autistic nor mentally challenged in any way( I stand to differ)lol. anyhoo his guidance and research was terrific. He made me seem to fit in this world and be proud of the way my mind works. Why it works the way it does and that anyone out there also has special abilities. I know 6 languages only three taught formally the other three I taught myself in a short amount of time. I also know American sign Language. Mathematics also come very easy. I see numbers as a cast in a play. No colors just parts and feelings towards them. I remember numbers easier than long stories word for word. 'well I digress I apologize! His book just gave me tools to look into my unique world and show my loved ones a book to help explain a piece of my world in a well written way. The man Daniel Gerroll who narrated this book was excellent. Time flew by listening to it on my time off or walking. Very happy to have this in my collection as I think you will as well. Its great to see the world through different ways. give it a try !

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

I saw the movie i believe twice. maybe three not sure. Loved the movie, yet something seemed missing. The entire story. An amazing book. I laughed so hard when it came to Minnie. the descriptions of the characters were perfect so i could be in each of thier situations. I read two to four books a week. Audible gives me a chance to add more. I am a non stop learner and am going for a doctorate as well as a MD. I also study anything i am interested in for that time. I commute for quite sometime daily and i also run. Also a cleaning freak. Audible lets me do all of these things while listening to quality books as this one. You would never know it was actually fiction as well as written by solely a woman not of color. The book as far as i have heard from people of that horrid time was dead on acurate. We also got to hear how it was to be a white young adult at this time also. The more i listened the more i was pulled into this alice in wonderland type world. The cast was amazing. The production was spot on!!!! If you liked the movie a lot or just a little this book will change you. I plan on listening again soon. Its in my library and that soon could be tomorrow or a year. Love Love Loved it. wow!!!!!! Enjoy and be ready to be transformed into a beautifully written world.

I love audio books because of the freedom it gives you to catch up on books otherwise to busy for. S when I listened to this book OMG it took me in the room with each and every person in the book. I was in Italy and new York las vegas ect....I felt more emotion listening to it than watching it! I have seen the movie a million times as most of us have! I cried when tom was about to tell the"Don" about the death of his son! I held my breath and teared up! I looked forward to each and every spare time I had to enjoy this masterpiece!!! I couldn't believe a full cast with a guide (Narrator) to keep us abreast to where we were! All I can say is Wow! It was like a fantastical mystical bedtime story told by an elder in the family with great recollection! My only annoyance was Mario Puzo repeating over and over and over again sonny's feature's > I got it the first 10 times in the very beginning a cupid's bow face yet masculine but chapter after chapter cupid's bow this and that it made me think of Sonny as a possible contestant on Rupauls drag race! I know it sounds harsh but come on the majority of us get it after possible the first time. but i'll give 2 but no kidding 10+ wow! I hated when sonny died but finally no more fragile yet masculine cupid's bow! ok done ranting! Loved it plan on listenin to it many many many(lol) more times! Awesome! Amazing! Definitely Astonishing!
