This book was disappointing because of so many things. I found the story to be weak and predictable. In fact, I lost interest after the first hour or so, but I forced myself to listen to the end.
Too predictable and generic characters.
The voice was too annoying. It just grates on the nerves.
Yes, the story was interesting & kept me engaged until the end.
Nasal, ill fitting
I don't think this book needs a follow up. The ending was just right.
I just didn't enjoy the fact that you could hear talking in the background as the narrator spoke. That was annoying, distracting, and made me feel as though this book was not professionally made.
If the story was more interesting and better written. I found it to be a sad stereotype of the characters. It also seemed to gloss over most of the characters in an attempt to move the story along. At the end, we're left clueless as to whether Skeeter ever really even gets what's going on around her.
I don't really feel as though I would be inclined to listen to another one of her books.
None that I can think of.
I think that the scene at Ms. Celia's house involving the naked man was totally unnecessary and added nothing to the story. Seemed to me like it was just merely a filler of sorts.
