But that "sick" man turns out to be Lee Coburn, the man accused of murdering seven people the night before. Dangerous, desperate, and armed, he promises Honor that she and her daughter won't be hurt as long as she does everything he asks. She has no choice but to accept him at his word.

Would you listen to Lethal again? Why?

No. Don't need the graphic romance scenes. Leave something to the imagination!

What does Victor Slezak bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

Really great performance. Added to the listening.

    Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed the story didn't want to put my Ipod down. However, suddenly there are graphic almost visual sex scenes. The book didn't need that at all and took away from it. At that point I thought I was listening to a Harlequin romance novel. The story is really good and doesn't need that at all. Victor Slezak is a great narrator and made it a good listen. When I first started listening I was sure I would download more of her novels, but now I don't think so.

It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

When I first started listening and heard the narrator state that he was Death I thought "Uh oh, I made a mistake with this choice." So glad I was in traffic and couldn't turn it off. After a few minutes I really couldn't turn it off. In fact my husband came out in the carport about 10 minutes after I arrived home to check on me. I explained I was finishing a chapter.

The story would break your heart one moment and raise your hopes the next. The descriptions of the characters made them seem so real. I cheered for Liesel. The narration by Allan Corduner was wonderful. He really brought the characters to life. I could visualize Liesel, Rosa, Papa, Rudy, Max and the rest of the characters. I felt as though I was a bystander. The story really made me think about the people on the other side of war that were trapped in their own land without hate in their hearts.

I would say that listening to this book was time not worth my time. Thought about returning, but I finished it because I got so far that I wanted to find out how it ended. I expected a surprise twist, but that didn't happen. Finally got to the end and was very disappointed. You are left in limbo about what happens to the main character. The part about the victim's sister's marriage was distracting and annoying. I wanted to shout at her and tell her to deal with it and do something about it. I kept wondering what was going through Emily's mind.

Cassandra did a very good performance. Probably would have given her 5 stars if the book was enjoyable.

A writer visits his retired grandparents in Florida to document their experience during the infamous siege of Leningrad. His grandmother won't talk about it, but his grandfather reluctantly consents. The result is the captivating odyssey of two young men trying to survive against desperate odds. Lev Beniov considers himself "built for deprivation." He's small, smart, and insecure, a Jewish virgin too young for the army, who spends his nights working as a volunteer firefighter with friends from his building.

The story was heartfelt and riveting. There are so many books that I have read and enjoyed, but 2 weeks later I have forgotten a lot of the details. Not with this one I still remember the characters and their stories. The descriptive writing of WWII in St. Petersburg and behind enemy lines kept my attention. One of the very best I have listened to or read. Definitely worth your time.

"Responsibility" should be Nicole Keyes' middle name. After all, not many people would sacrifice their lives to run the family bakery and raise a younger sibling. But with Nicole's twin sister now blissfully married and her younger sis turning out more femme fatale than girl-next-door, super reliable Nicole is getting sick of putting everyone else's needs first!

I was looking for something different from my usual listens. Trying to add variety. The story was okay, but YUCK to the graphic lovemaking sections. I don't think that adds to a story at all. In fact quite the opposite. I listened to it, but spent time in speeding through these sections.

When it comes to the holidays, no story brings us back to the true spirit of giving like O. Henry’s classic "The Gift of the Magi". So this year we’ve asked some of your favorite Audible narrators—Audie Award winners Katherine Kellgren, Oliver Wyman, and Jonathan Davis—to bring to life this timeless tale, plus two more of O. Henry’s gems: "The Cop and the Anthem" and "The Last Leaf", in this holiday collection.

I always enjoy Nicholas Sparks and this one was no exception. Once started I had trouble shutting it off and came back to it at each opportunity. The narrator was good with the voices and made it enjoyable.
