Johanna Walker is used to taking charge. But she’s about to meet someone who will make her lose control....

It has always been up to Johanna to care for her family, particularly her younger brother, Cole. With an absent father and a useless mother, she’s been making decisions based on what’s best for Cole for as long as she can remember. She even determines what men to date by how much they can provide for her brother and her, not on whatever sparks may - or may not - fly. But with Cameron MacCabe, the attraction is undeniable....

    I

Which character – as performed by Elle Newlands – was your favorite?

I thought that she did a fantastic job on all the characters. I loved the accent that went with the characters too.

I found an envelope in the mail. No return address. My name on the front, my address. Inside was a check, made out to me, in the amount of 10 thousand dollars. Enough to pay the bills and leave me some left over to live on until I found a job. Enough to let me focus on classes. There was no name on the check, just "VRI Inc.", and a post office box address for somewhere in the city. No hint of identity or reason for the check or anything. No mention of repayment, interest, nothing...except a single word, on the notes line: "You." Just those three letters.

    NEW NAME says: "Whew....that was....WOW!"

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book just did not have a good story line.... so I dont know anyone who would enjoy that.

Would you ever listen to anything by Jasinda Wilder again?

Yes, I like Jasinda Wilder.. I have read a lot of her books and she is a fantastic author who brings a lot to the table. But this time, it just was not there.

Would you be willing to try another one of Summer Roberts and Tyler Donne ’s performances?

    Yes.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Alpha?

I would add to it..... way more plot. Also the characters are dull and you are not able to fall in love with them, like you should have.

The Perfect Game tells the story of college juniors, Cassie Andrews & Jack Carter. When Cassie meets rising baseball hopeful Jack, she is determined to steer clear of him and his typical cocky attitude. But Jack has other things on his mind... like getting Cassie to give him the time of day.

    Maybe

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I thought the story line was going well, but the narration did not help the story out. It was just a messed up story line that was hard to listen to with narration.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    I really don't know......

What was most disappointing about Ally Condie’s story?

It could have been done in 2 books. The first book was the best and was very interesting. But the story went on way to long and it was just very hard to get through

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jack Riccobono?

I don't think that his narration was a bad job, it was the story.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Would you try another book from Gillian Flynn and/or Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ?

    Yes.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I could not believe that after all that, the author left you with that kind of ending. Seriously, I think the book was a complete waste of time.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

No I think that narrators did their jobs, its not their fault about what happens in the book.

Was Gone Girl worth the listening time?

    NOPE

    Any additional comments?

I can not believe that this book a best seller and they are making a movie about it.

No one, not even her family, knows that she cannot hear. Content with her life of seclusion, Eveline has taught herself to read lips and allows the outside world to view her as daft. Not only could her co-workers double as the cast of Parks and Recreation, but she loves finding the unusual sites, hidden gems, and just-plain-odd tourist attractions of her home state. She’s a shoo-in for the director’s job when her boss retires at the end of the year…until hotshot Josh Vaughn shows up to challenge her for the position.
