Wow, such a good story, though some of the "naughty" talk was a bit eye-roll worthy. Still, I would have paid full price for this one.
This guy has got to be one of my favorite writers of all time. I remember getting the "podiobook" version of this years ago and falling in love with the story and the voice! If you don't mind the graphic violence, and love good science fiction, you'll love this book as well as most of his others!
The narrator's voice was extremely distracting in the way she elongated the word at the end of every sentence in a strange breathy way.
She sounded constipated.
I loved the story! The story itself kept me listening.
I didn't like the bdsm turn that this book took. The dialogue was ridiculous, and didn't seem well thought out. People, JUST DON'T TALK LIKE THAT!
That being "said," the overall story is good, it just would have been made so much stronger without the poor dialogue, and ridiculous sex scenes.
This was my least favorite, and I don't think I've ever rolled my eyes as much as I did while listening to The Professional: Part 2
Less ridiculous sex scenes, and FAR LESS ridiculous dialogue. It pulled you out of the story, and that's never a good thing.
I love Kresley Cole's writing style, and so far, this book is pretty good, I can't wait to hear part two!
A different narrator. She sounded like she was pinching her nose while trying to use the restroom. It was distracting.
A completely different narrator
I'm very easy to please when it comes to narration, but I couldn't take the sound of her voice for more than 25 minutes. She constantly mispronounced the names and some common words. It was almost painful. I've purchased the kindle version and will be requesting a refund on the audio version. Such a disappointment.
Yes, I would listen to this again. I've listened to this several times, and it never gets old.
Wow...I don't usually write reviews, but I have to say that this is one of the best stories that I've ever listened too. I didn't want it to end. Throw this one in your cart!
I cringed every time he kept mispronouncing the same words over and over again. His performance was pretty good, but the constant mispronunciations were SO distracting, that I kept getting pulled out of the story.
The narrator's voice was very dull, and often incorporated odd inflections into her speech style.
