  • Lucky or Smart?: Secrets to an Entrepreneurial Life

At 27, Bo Peabody was an Internet multi-millionaire. In the heady days of the late 1990s, though, when every cool kid had an IPO, that wasn't very remarkable. What is remarkable is that he's even more successful today. He has co-founded five different companies, in varied industries, and made them thrive during the best and worst of economic times. Through it all, the one question everyone asks is: Was it his smarts that made him an entrepreneurial leader, or was it just plain luck?

    Rob says: "definitely smart, too"
    "definitely lucky!!"

This book has few good points. The interview at the end of the reading was worth more than the book. I am sure most "want to be entrepreneurs" have enough common sense to skip this book.

Rudolph Giuliani demonstrates in Leadership how the leadership skills he practices can be employed successfully by anyone who has to run anything.

Kevin Christy says: "The unabridged version would have been a 5/5"
    "good listen"
    Overall

Having listened to about 10 audible books the first thing I hope for is that the reader can convey the feelings and emotions of the book. Initially I was skeptical, especially after the intro by Rudy. However as the book continued I had to remind myself that it was not Rudy reading it. I believe it said Tony Robbins was reading the book and I think he did an exceptional job.

I thought the content was moving. The discussion of Sept 11 throughout the book made you relive the horrible event. New york was lucky to have a great leader as Mayor when this happened.

This selection of some of Asimov's most enduring and unforgettable stories is read by the author himself. These vintage tales encompass the full range of Asimov's versatility, while displaying his puckish sense of humor.

Asimov's voice is quite distinct and it is pretty funny how his says robot. I was hoping for Foundation and the trilogy but this is a few short 30-45 minute stories. It was quite interesting to hear how Asimov thought the world of computers and electronics would develop.
