The police urgently need Harry Hole…. A killer is stalking Oslo's streets. Police officers are being slain at the scenes of crimes they once investigated but failed to solve. The murders are brutal, the media reaction hysterical. But this time, Harry can't help.... For years, detective Harry Hole has been at the center of every major criminal investigation in Oslo. His dedication to his job and his brilliant insights have saved the lives of countless people. But now, with those he loves most facing terrible danger, Harry is not in a position to protect anyone. Least of all himself...

Where does Police rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

"Police" is among my favorite audiobooks.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The author, Jo Nesbo, wrote a thriller with new and unpredictable story lines.

What does John Lee bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrator obviously studied the meaning of each thing each character says. He is such a good actor and vocal talent. I can have trouble remembering characters when they have foreign-sounding names. John Lee's intonations make it easy for me, and most enjoyable.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I feel moved by the compassion I sense toward characters that to the outside world might seem insignificant. For example, I experience a sense of loss when a certain person dies, even though his own family members had said he could "rot."

    Any additional comments?

I am glad for my membership to audible.com because listening to the books by Jo Nesbo is one of the most reliably enjoyable experiences I have. Thank you!

The second crime novel by internationally best-selling writer Eoin Colfer is a gritty and utterly compelling follow-up to the critically acclaimed Plugged. In Screwed, Colfer adds an entirely new chapter to the adventures and misadventures of Daniel McEvoy, the down-on-his-luck Irish bouncer at a seedy New Jersey bar who, with the help of a motley crew of unlikely characters, solved a bizarre string of murders - including the one of the girl he loved. But people around him continue to die mysteriously, and Daniel is called into action once again.

The book is very funny and the narration by John Keating is so pitch perfect it feels like it is being read by the author who happens to be a gifted Irish actor. Humor never had it so good.

Raised in the historic southern splendor of Natchez, Mississippi, Penn Cage learned all he knows of honor and duty from his father, Dr. Tom Cage. But now the beloved family doctor has been accused of murdering Viola Turner, the African-American nurse with whom he worked in the dark days of the 1960s. Penn is determined to save his father, but Tom, stubbornly invoking doctor-patient privilege, refuses to even speak in his own defense.

What disappointed you about Natchez Burning?

The narration is so over-dramatic that it robs us of the inherent drama. Narrators like this and Scott Brick should be permanently banned.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I could not get through this book because of the narrator.

Critically acclaimed author Arthur Phillips skyrocketed up best-seller lists and won immense popularity for novels such as The Egyptologist and Prague. With The Song Is You, Phillips again demonstrates his mastery of form with a tale of love and obsession in the digital age.

Book Worm says: "An Okay Story"

Humorless characters who I couldn't care less about interspersed with the authors knowledge of music. And how bad can that segue music get? Elevator out-takes please go away.
