Smart, funny, well written and a great narration by Wil Weaton. I was not disappointed!

He's done a great job of everything I've listened to.

I do plan on listening to the rest of the sereis. I love how Mark has created essentially two universes with the same characters - Zombie Fallout and Indian Hill. Interesting idea.Really enjoy Runnette's narration as well. Between the writing and the narration, I've caught myself laughing out loud at some of the humorous parts. Speaking of which, there is a decent blend of humour and drama in the book. I found some continuity issues in this volume, and the switch from 3rd to 1st person and back seems to be too abrupt, but I think - for a first book in the series - that these issues will be ironed out in the rest of the series. At least I hope so.

I listened to the Indian Hill trilogy first, which I REALLY enjoyed. Enough so that I thought I'd give Zombie Fallout a try. Listening to the first book in this series is really making me want to check out book two, partly to see if some of the structural issues have been corrected in book 2. And partly because I just like the book!

Well, I can only take so much Zombie in one sitting, but it's enjoyable.

I did not read the print version, but based on the narrator I took a chance. I was not disappointed. After finishing 1632, I immediately bought 1633. Very impressed overall by the story and the narration.

In terms of a series, the only other long running series I've listened to is the Dresden books by Jim Butcher. Also great stories and great narration. Unlike the Dresden books though, the Ring of Fire series (I think) needs to be read in chronological order.

Voice, intonation, characterization. He is a truly excellent narrator and does a great job of bringing the characters to life.

Sorry, but Dresden is just not "Dresden" without James Marsters. I love this series - listened to every book, sometimes more than once, but this free preview chapter left me feeling a little flat. I am honestly not sure if I will download the full novel.

The book was on the long side, but I enjoyed how it followed all the original characters through their entire lives. t did get kind of depressing, but I appreciated the fact that the characters rose to challenges, some overcame, some not. This is a book full of imperfect characters, and to me that made them seem more human and realistic. I'm not a hard science person, so the plot seemed mostly believable, although I did start having a hard time wondering just where all that water was coming from . . .

I love this series! James Marsters' narration is bang on and Jim Butcher's sense of humor and penchant for making contemporary references makes me smile on a regular basis. I've yet to be disappointed by these books, and I've listened to every one of them.

I am completely hooked on this series. I first heard of Dresden through a television show called The Dresden Files, which, while I enjoyed the characters of Dresden and Bob, I felt that the rest of the show was a little two-dimensional. The books, however, are much more rounded with excellent character development. James Marsters' narration is excellent as well.
