Deep in the Rocky Mountains, a gruesome discovery - hundreds of mummified bodies - stirs international attention and fervent controversy. Despite doubts to the bodies' origins, the local Native American Heritage Commission lays claim to the prehistoric remains, along with the strange artifacts found in the same cavern: gold plates inscribed with an unfathomable script.

"a good read but not the best"
    Overall

Enjoyed the Devil Colony, as I have all of James Rollins books, by far not the best of the Sigma books, but enjoyable, As usual very much enjoyed the Narrator Peter Jay Fernandez. If you are fan of the Series it is worth a down load, if not , this would not be the best one to start with. You do learn a lot more about the Guild on this one, and who they are.

Thousands of autonomous computer programs, or daemons, make our networked world possible, running constantly in the background of our lives, trafficking e-mail, transferring money, and monitoring power grids. For the most part, daemons are benign, but the same can't always be said for the people who design them.

What made the experience of listening to Daemon the most enjoyable?

to be honest at 1st I strongly considered returning the book audible within the 1st hour. Wow I'm so glad I stuck with it into a terrific book. At 1st the narrator annoyed me slightly which may have been my problem at 1st. Honestly the narrator grew on me so much so when I finished this book and what I'll call part 2 freedom I downloaded a book narrated by the same narrator just because I enjoyed his performance. The author Daniel did a very good job developing the characters. The good guys, the bad guys. By the end the bad guys, seem like the good guys.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Had to see what happened next

What about Jeff Gurner’s performance did you like?

slow for me at 1st but grew on me to the point were I very much enjoyed it

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    .

In a world of conflicted loyalties, rapidly diminishing human power, and the possibility that anyone can be a spy, what's at stake is nothing less than human freedom's last hope to survive the technology revolution.

What did you love best about Freedom (TM)?

What can I say a roof enjoyed this book. In some ways I may have enjoyed it more than the 1st book in the series "Daemon" okay some of the stuff is kind of unbelievable and con about their. But don't let that stop you from enjoying the story it puts a conclusion to the two-part series. It's one of those books you enjoy so much you wish it would never end.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Freedom (TM)?

The interaction with the characters reuniting.
