"Ranger Revealed - Just a tiny piece of him"
Grandma Mazur pops in with her always hilarious one liners and we have plenty of Ranger and Morelli. The plot is strong centered around the mysterious Ricardo Carlos Manoso...who needs to use Stephanies apartment as a safe house. But don't think Morelli is out of the picture. He is definitely in and makes no bones about what he'll do to Ranger if he crosses the line.
"Another Susan Elizabeth Phillips Classic"
Yes, because I can listen to it over and over again.
Jane Darlington and probably Cal's grandmother. But I love Cal's mother too. They are all strong women who put their own sense of self first. I want to be one of SEP's characters in my next life!
Anna Fields, may she rest in peace, is still one of the top 3 narrators in the world of Audible Fiction. Her characterization and intonation is consistent and flawless. I will miss her forever.
When Cal's mom tells his dad how he made her feel when he didn't acknowledge her as his wife...
Any of SEP's books stand alone but they are all fabulous...this is in my top 2 or 3, no...top 2!
"Laughing Out Loud Alone in the Dark!"
The cynical humor Sedaris brings to everyday life...
The Rooster! Sedaris' brother Paul is just hilarious as seen through the author's eyes.
His voice is perfect because it is him! The hint of sarcasm is fabulous.
The whole thing moved me to roll on the floor hugging my gut laughing
If you need a good belly laugh Sedaris is for you
"Power in Simplicity Hills Ideas Transcends Decades"
I listened to this book twice in one week. Profound information in a simple format. Don't be put off by the title. The name "devil" is a label for the negative forces. This book is filled with ideas to help you become proactive and positive right now. Read it! Listen to it! Do Both I just purchased a print version but the narration is AWESOME. Love Phil Gigante
"Virgin River Fan"
Top 25% - I have listened to over 500
Yes. She keeps getting better. Keep listening. She mas more surprising performances.
Bree's Dad. Close to my age
"Great Vacation Escape"
This is a perfect summer read. Lucy escapes the alter on the back of his motorcycle. All that togetherness leads to some steamy nights. Lucy is not ready to return to her "real" life and heads to a summer vacation community. There she meets new friends, all colorful characters fully developed by Ms. Phillips. But the crux of this novel is the heat between Panda and Lucy. Can the former first lady's daughter capture the heart of one damaged, former cop and soldier?
Definitely worth finding out for yourself.
Narration is good.
Having been a fan of Anna Fields, I was deeply saddened to learn of her death. Shannon Cochran has a tough act to follow but does an admirable job.
"Beautifully Heart-wrenching"
I love the characters and the depth of their feelings for each other. I sobbed afterwards. Every person deserves this kind of devotion, but it comes at a cost.
"Gone Crazy Boys and Girls"
Manipulate, Betray, Dubplicity
So far it's Nick, but I'm not quite finished yet
Both Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne give tremendous performances. The characters are consistent in voice and come to life through these talented actors.
Is Every Marriage an Illusion?
I took a chance on this...not my usual authors and I cannot stop listening. It pulls you in and is a true page turner.
"Love, Love, Love it! My Favorite of the Series"
Oh boy, definitely in the top third. Rachel Gibson reminds me of Susan Elizabeth Phillips in her themes and style. Phillips has much deeper character development thus longer novels. Gibson's plot and characters have a lot of poten""al
"It's Miss July, not January"
Love the sexy scenes between Savage & Faith
Yes - anytime the love leads stay away from each other I have to keep listening
This is a great listen. Go for it!
"Hot Hockey Honeys?"
I liked the "Any Man of Mine" theme...and all the characteristics Autumn wanted in her man.
The relationship between Connor (the son) and his parents. I also thought Vince the brother could lead to another book in this series...or a Navy Seal series.
Hot, sexy voice for Sam LeClaire. There were times I had to replay missed phrases but overall she made him sound really decadent.
something about heat on the ice and steam after dark...
I've enjoyed this series. I'd like to see Audible acquire rights for the earlier books.
"Mumbled and Jumbled - try a paperback"
Yes - the style of narration is mumbled. The "acting" is not what I am used to from other writers. I have read many of Lorelei James books and enjoyed them but this is so garbled it's hard to follow.
Nothing Really
The narrator should consider emphasizing consonant sounds even when using western dialect. A story is no good is the reader only "hears" half of it.
Understanding what was said and much better character development. I really didn't care if any of these characters lived or died. I didn't "know" any of them.
Save your credits for something else. This needs a rewrite and a re-record
