    Little by little as the main character becomes more human and interacts more with humans, so does the listener's interest in the story grows. There are some very sexually frank scenes as well as some gruesome spots. However, the author does involve us in the protagonist's story and the listener is rooting hard for the welfare and love life of the Changeling by the end of the book.

    The Thursday Next stories by Jason Fforde are a rare treasure - they are witty, funny, imaginative and take you to a place you really have never been before. When I started listening to this series, I explained the best parts to anyone and everyone. Mr. Fforde has a plot, but many the best parts are not tied up in plot elements and are liberally sprinkled throughout in side tales - each one of which is fun and original and may just appear as the critical turning point that allows Thursday to save the day.
    The reader is wonderful.
    If you have any whimsy in you and a love of words and books themselves, this is a wonderful series.
