"What a Great Mystery!"
Wow! I've read all the books in this series and I have to say, this was definitely one of the best. What a deep and murky mystery! Loved the story, loved the narrator - can't wait for the next one!
"Sad to See it End"
I have read and enjoyed all of the Sookie Stackhouse books. Although I'm sad to see it end, I was happy with the final resolution that Ms. Harris used to wrap this series up. I fully enjoyed Johanna Parker as the narrator of this series. In fact, I have purchased other titles from Audible simply because she is the narrator! Good job all around!
"A Little Bland"
I read, and enjoyed, all of the first 4 Sofie Metropolis stories. So much so that, when Love Bites did not come out in audio format I waited...and waited. When it finally came out on Audible I happily surrendered one of my credits to listen. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with how bland and boring it was. The series has a faint hint of a Greek Stephanie Plum but without the laugh-out-loud moments that make the Plum series so enjoyable. I am a fan of supernatural fiction, so the vampire angle is intriguing, but the series really needs some sort of boost. Even the ending was boring, to the point where I was sort of glad it was over. I may or may not read Queen's Ransom, but I doubt I will sacrifice another credit for it. Maybe on Kindle...
In spite of all that, Vanessa Johansson did a very nice job narrating this story.
"WOW! What a Rush!"
This title popped up on my Kindle Deals, but I ended up buying the Audible version as well. What a GREAT read! I could not stop listening - from beginning to end it kept me entralled. It hopped around from one part of the story to the next pulling all the separate components together until they all meshed at the end. I pushed my MP3 player right up to the point where it shut itself off because the battery was nearly dead! LOL! I just couldn't give it up long enough to recharge! The triumphant ending of the good guys over the bad guys had me grinning with joyous humor. I HIGHLY recommend this book and can't wait to read the next one!
"Nobody Wears A Red Dress Better Than Gin Blanco!"
As always, Jennifer Estep delivers an action-packed tale of violence and death. You'd think with that sort of material the story would be gruesome and the characters unlikeable, but not so! Gin is sexy, confident and capable. You just have to cheer for her and her friends. I really enjoy this series and can't wait for the next one! Lauren Fortgang adds SO much to the story with her smoky southern voice. A wholly enjoyable experience!
"I Enjoyed This Story SO, SO Much!"
Having read and enjoyed the first of this series, Monster in My Closet, I was eager to read Pooka in My Pantry also. This one is even better than the first! The stories have humor, suspense, a little romance and MONSTERS! LOL! There are even monsters you can love! These are really FUN stories. If you enjoy this genre, you owe it to yourself to give these books a try. The narrator, Rebecca Gibel, does an outstanding job with the voices. I will anxiously look forward to the next title in this series.
"Another Winner for Seanan McGuire"
I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this 2nd novel of the InCryptid Series, however, it pulled me in fairly quick and held me till the end. Although Verity goes through some extreme experiences in this book, the narrator's voice is so sweet and melodic that it sort of downplays the severity. I'm not saying that's good or bad, because otherwise she does a good job with the voices, it's just an observation. I look forward to reading more books as this series continues.
"A Good Story, But Not My Favorite"
Although I did enjoy this story, it was not my favorite in this series. I still gave it 5 stars because of my overall enjoyment of the series. I really wish the author would bulk up the stories a bit to give us a longer read. Dina Pearlman continues to do an excellent job as narrator. If you are new to this series, be sure to start from the beginning.
"Ever Evolving!"
When I read the first books of this series I had mixed emotions about how well I was going to like it. However, having now read each and every book and short story associated with it, it has become a must-read in my ever growing library! I love Rachel, Jenks, his kids and the ever growing circle of friends and enemies. Marguerite Gavin is a great narrator who makes the stories come alive.
"An Excellent Short Story!"
This is my first Lisa Gardner book and what a pleasant read it was! Now I need to go back and start from the beginning to get some background on this interesting series.
"Yet Another Winner!"
The Mercy Thompson series continues to hold my interest with all the new twists and turns that the story takes. Mercy and her friends (and enemies) still enthrall me! I hope Patricia will continue to spin these marvelous tales! I also love Lorelei King as the narrator.
