ill be honest. i got this title on sale and it was well worth the price. good story. good narator. gets a little campy at the end, but worth at least another listen. i heard the other two books in the series ruined it. bummed about that. looking forward to the movie. at least the first movie anyway...
The tech was cool, the concept was as well. though not the most original idea, it was executed well. so, yes.
Blade runner. its the same concept for the most part.
He does a great job at whatever he gets into. i like his style.
Moved me? no. I will say there are some pretty descriptive sex scenes in this book and anybody who may be put off by that may want to skip this one. There are quite a few... Also anybody of the "Christian faith" may be offended by some of the slang terms and ideas of the author. Not me, but i know you're out there...
I got this one from the paperback sale. Five bucks was more than worth it! thank you once again, audible!
Anybody who doesn't like to be entertained and/or has an abundance of time to waste.
I'm more of a Steven king thriller guy i guess. so nothing from these two authors.
He did a good job with what he had.
i read it when i was twelve and i enjoyed it. what does that tell you...
i got this book from the paperback sale, so it was five bucks. Still in my opinion too much.
i, like many many other people, have been a huge star wars fan since i can remember. the sound effects and Marc Thompson narration really bring the feel of the universe into you headphones!
The introduction of Lumiya into the story and how she is a character from the old school SW comics. Very clever!
different voices for different characters and he puts emotion and feeling into his reading.
better than episodes 1,2,and 3...
it's a bummer that this is an abridged recording but having read the actual hard copy book i know that the story doesn't suffer much.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this one. i got it during the paperback sale(i'm so stoked when audible does those kinds of things, if you re reading this mr. audible; thank you!!!) so for five bucks, i took a shot...
this one was awesome! the narration is five star and "story" is as well. its not a story in the sense where there are characters and they get in a space ship and fly to mars, or whatever. it's written like a news column or article. it tells the true story, a sort of tongue in cheek take on the space program. the stuff you wouldn't think of when thinking of space flight. what do they eat, where do they sleep, how do you poo in zero g? this one is worth the credit, money whatever. don't miss it!!!
this one was hard to get through. i got it during the paperback sale, so for five bucks; not a complete waste. the narration isn't bad, and the story isn't either. it's just one of those listens that drags... a rare case where the movie is actually better than the book. i gave it three stars because i got it for cheap. if i had paid full price, i would have rated it lower.
this is a great listen. awesome narration, great story. Bronson Pinchot does a 5star job. no joke, this one is worth a second and even third listen. not a waste of money or a credit. highly recommended!! don't miss it!!!
this was a great listen. im a big fan of the hbo series "band of brothers." i very much enjoyed this. not a waste of a credit!!!
the narator, though he did a good job, his voice was real deep and mono tone. kinda put me to sleep. this book dragged on. i paid for it, so i had to finish it. but, i was seriously debating giving up on more than one occasion. good story though.
im a huge king fan. i had high hopes for this one. it was long, but honestly worth the money at least. the narator was excellent. the story gets way weird and borders on child porn toward the end... i suggest a strong stomach and an open mind.
