On August 24 and 25 in the year 79 A.D., a Volcanic eruption from Mt. Vesuvius spewed fire, lava, smoke, and ash upon the city of Pompeii, burying it and many of its inhabitants. Before this catastrophe, the streets of Pompeii had been bustling with the activity of its people, busy with commerce supported by its shipping trade and its role as a link between interior Italy and the outside world. In Pompeii, based on the Time Life Books series Lost Civilizations, you'll visit this ancient, lost city as it was in its heyday and how it exists today, its ruins lying in the shadow of Mt. Vesuvius.

I found this book very interesting the building of characters very well done. It was well read, and in no time at all I was engrossed in the adventures of the aquarius, and the build up to and through the eruptions. One of Audibles better books. I highly recommend it to any who likes history.

Ishmael is an utterly unique and captivating spiritual adventure which redefines what it is to be human. We are introduced to Ishmael, a creature of immense wisdom. He has a story to tell, one that no human being has ever heard before. It is the story of man's place in the grand scheme, and it begins at the birth of time. This history of the world has never appeared in any schoolbook. "Does the earth belong to man?" Ishmael asks. "Or does man belong to the earth?"

It is an excellent tale told in a thought prevoking way. I liked the reader as well, just wish they would make the sequel into an audio book

You've probably heard clips from Senator Clinton's interview with Barbara Walters. But now you can listen to her full account of her years in the White House. Hillary Clinton vividly describes her pain over her husband's betrayal with Monica Lewinky saying that former President Bill Clinton lied to her about the relationship until the weekend before he admitted the nature of it to a grand jury.

I found this book interesting, and well read. It was great listening to her"insiders point of view". Not being an american citizen, and not caught up in the petty party politics so prevalent these days. I enjoyed it for what it was...her version of what happened in her life to date... And for what it is worth I think she will make a very good President of the U.S.A. in 2008. Good for the USA and good for us in the rest of the world.
