Thom and Jennifer Harlow are the perfect couple, with three perfect children. They maybe two of the biggest mega movie stars in the world, but they're also great parents, philanthropists, and just all-around good people. When they disappear without a word from their ranch, facts are hard to find. They live behind such a high wall of security and image control that even world-renowned Private Investigator Jack Morgan can't get to the truth.

Would you try another book from James Patterson and Mark Sullivan and/or Jay Snyder?

Yes, I've read almost every book written by James Patterson and I've enjoyed them all!

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

    Disappointed

    Any additional comments?

I'm an accountant who specializes in Treasury and found the entire wire transfer scenario completely unbelievable. I doubt that most people are as knowledgeable in this area though so the incorrect details will not likely hinder the enjoyment of most listeners/readers.

After being murdered by a mystery assailant, navigating his way through the realm between life and death, and being brought back to the mortal world, Harry realizes that maybe death wasn’t all that bad - because he is no longer Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard. He is now Harry Dresden, Winter Knight to Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness. After Harry had no choice but to swear his fealty, Mab wasn’t about to let something as petty as death steal away the prize she had sought for so long.

Would you listen to Cold Days again? Why?

Yes, I am already planning too. There is a lot of action that is sometimes difficult to follow but I don't want to rewind because I'm too into the story!

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Who doesn't love Harry?!

What does James Marsters bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His voice is very versatile and he uses it well, including a lot of nuances of emotion that make me feel that the characters are real.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Many but I don't want to give anything away.

    Any additional comments?

Jim Butcher continues to include surprises that are as interesting as they are unexpected, please keep the stories coming!

When we last left the mighty wizard detective Harry Dresden, he wasn't doing well. In fact, he had been murdered by an unknown assassin. But being dead doesn't stop him when his friends are in danger. Except now he has nobody, and no magic to help him. And there are also several dark spirits roaming the Chicago shadows who owe Harry some payback of their own. To save his friends - and his own soul - Harry will have to pull off the ultimate trick without any magic....

Where does Ghost Story rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

Pretty high. I miss James Marster (a lot!) but John Glover does an excellent job in his place.

What does John Glover bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

Its almost fitting that Harry should have a new voice while 'living' as a ghost. Jim's versatility makes for an interesting and exciting listen!

It exists at the fringes of Washington, D.C., has no power, and consists solely of four eccentric and downtrodden members whom society has forgotten. Their simple goal is to find the "truth" behind their country's actions.

What did you love best about The Camel Club?

I bought this book because it was on sale even though I don't usually listen to this author - nor do I generally enjoy this genre. I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent story-teller with a lot of plot twist and good character definition. Still a little more 'work' than I like when listening for entertainment value but well worth the effort.

The Craig Beck stop drinking method is unique: No need to declare yourself an alcoholic. It's a permanent cure, not a lifetime struggle. There are no group meetings or expensive visits to rehab. No humiliation, no pain, and 100% no will power required. His method treats the source of the problem, not the symptoms.

If you could sum up Alcohol Lied to Me in three words, what would they be?

    Practical, 'Do-Able,' Sensible

What was one of the most memorable moments of Alcohol Lied to Me?

I didn't realize that this book contains components for hypnosis alcohol recovery specific supplement recommendations - fantastic especially when combined with the other steps.

Have you listened to any of Craig Beck???s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I now plan to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me smile in many places.

    Any additional comments?

I became sober with the help of AA and had about 3 weeks under my belt before listening to Craig's book. Although he eschews the need for the 12 step program, in favor of his, I'm finding that the two go hand-in-hand and are proving helpful to keep me motivated to live a sober life. Craig's program includes many practical ideas and excellent motivation. I am looking forward to beginning the supplement portion of the program. I listened to the hypnosis section to fall asleep to last night and am very impressed. I feel asleep faster, slept very soundly and woke feeling more refreshed than I have for a long time. Thanks Craig!
