How the mighty have fallen! Once a sworn enemy of all vampires, Anita is now the human consort of both Jean-Claude, the Master Vampire, and Micah, the leopard shapeshifter. But her love life doesn't stop there. It can't. For Anita - not quite as human as she once was - is consumed by both the lusts of the vampire and the primal hungers of the wereleopards. Desires that must be sated - time and time again.

I love all the Anita Blake series, but I find it completely mind bogiling to change Narraters in the middle of series. Kimberly Alexis was amazing as Anita Blake, she put the right inflection to the story and she didn't mispronounce words so bad that it almost ruins the entire book. Please get her back!

There are a lot of monsters in Anita Blake's life. And some of them are human. One such individual is the man she calls Edward, a bounty hunter who specializes in the preternatural. He calls her to help him hunt down the greatest evil she has ever encountered - something that kills and maims and vanishes into the night. Something Anita will have to face alone.

    Overall

I love all the Anita Blake books, and Kimberly Alexis does an excellent job reading them. I don't like the added music, it distracts from the book to me. And I really don't need to hear sound effects for blood spurts or gun fire, I understand what she means when she says she fired the gun or the blade went into someones chest. And the chapter missing is very off putting and frustrating, I thought I had broken my ipod.
