The Eternal Emperor was back and ready to save his Empire from collapse. Only Sten guessed that something was rotten at the core. The Empire is in chaos. The once-great Imperial Navy has been shattered in battle and lies burning in space, riven by a civil war that threatens to engulf humanity’s future. For the revered Eternal Emperor is not the man his subjects thought him to be—and may not even be human at all.

    Any additional comments?

The reading of this book is so robotic that its almost unlistenable. Very stuttered and halting speech that seems to drag. A good case for NOT starting a series with one narrator and then continuing with another later. I think I will buy print on the final book of the series.

  • 100 People Who Are Screwing Up America (And Al Franken is #37)

Bernard Goldberg takes dead aim at the America Bashers (the cultural elites who look down their snobby noses at "ordinary" Americans and detest so much of what this country is about); the Hollywood Blowhards (incredibly ditzy celebrities who think they're smart just because they're famous); the TV Schlockmeisters (including the one whose show has been compared to a churning mass of maggots devouring rotten meat); the Intellectual Thugs, and many more.

    "Stupidity"
    Overall

Bernard Goldberg is just like the elite people he rants about. Thinking that the average American doesn't have the sense to make up his/her own mind about how America stands. Its a one-sided book and really a waste of time, except to the author that gets the bucks for writing such drivel. On both sides of the line there are idiots that are ruining American, including George Bush, but Mr. Goldberg is so far in George's camp that he can't smell the crap. He talks about deceny and fairness and thats great, except it doesn't apply to the author.
