When Gregor falls through a grate in the laundry room of his apartment building, he hurtles into the dark Underland, where spiders, rats, and cockroaches coexist uneasily with humans. This world is on the brink of war, and Gregor's arrival is no accident. A prophecy foretells that Gregor has a role to play in the Underland's uncertain future. Gregor wants no part of it, until he realizes it's the only way to solve the mystery of his father's disappearance.

I was very unimpressed with this book and many of the interactions of the characters. I was really surprised because this is the author of The Hunger Games books, and those books are fantastic. I decided this book must have been written with younger readers in mind. Still, that being said, its very loose with its details and has lots of loose ends. I did not enjoy listening to it, but I think kids 10 or younger might.

Something's out there...Reed Shelton organized this survival weekend, hired the best guide in the region, meticulously trained, studied, and packed, while encouraging his wife, Beck, to do the same. But little did they know that surviving the elements would become the least of their worries.

It's really funny when I listen to the characters talk to each other. The conversations rarely feel genuine unless its the sheriff. The sheriff talks like a sheriff. I had a hard time with the other characters, liking or disliking them... believing them at all. I am going to say it might be because this is abridged. Other than that.... I would be happy if most of the people in this book get eaten.

Still, its an average to below-average listen.
