This book is sad. It is about nasty, mean, narrow minded, opinionated prosecutors in a small town who send an innocent man to the death row. But this is not the sad part, this is the thriller component of the book. The sad part about the book is the long and detailed description of the boy who rises to a potential star in baseball, slides down to turn into an addict and gets wrongly convicted of murder. It is sad, sad, sad. Booze, drugs, death row, insanity….
I am sorry that all this happened. But still it is not worth listening to this long sad tale.
