"Interesting at times"
It is far too long. I'm sure it would be great for those more interested in the topic but I was looking for a brief explanation of how the mind works. The start of the book was great but then went into far more detail than I was prepared to listen to. There are many parts of the book that are fascinating and some great humour but a chore to get through the tedious parts.
"Excellent!"
Yes, because it's loaded with interesting information.
I have read or listened to many books related to this topic. It is amazing how they all seem to refer to different scientists who bring new insights and make our understanding that much better.
"Interesting read but ending prolonged"
It was a good mystery but lasted 2 hours beyond the logical ending. Full of unexpected turns.
Mal'akh because he was unpredictable.
The introduction of noetic science, religion and "ancient wisdom" would be objectionable if not part of a fictional plot.
"A great listen"
Some very simple ideas that are the opposite of what I had previously thought. Now to see if they will work. I can certainly relate to guilt and "what the hell" concepts. Many people might benefit from the suggestions in this book.
"Overall a good book!"
A good review of the scientific advances for 70% of the book.
The concepts of quantum physics and multiple dimensions are difficult to understand beyond the initial simple introductions. The written book might make it easier to stop and contemplate these concepts, especially it they were associated with graphics. Overall I enjoyed the book.
"amusing story"
thought provoking silliness
The ironic twists to the plot. The characters are mostly unbelievable, which makes it impossible to foresee how our hero Arthur will escape from his dilemmas.
The changes in his voice as he switches between the characters.
I had heard some of the amusing parts from friends who had read it in the past, so listening to it now had less impact. I did enjoy the solution = 42.
I don't think I will listen to the rest of the trilogy. Having heard Douglas Adams speak during some interviews, my expectations may have been to high. As I listened I could not help but ask if there was some deeper meaning to the story that I was missing.
