The narrator sounded just how I would expect Ed Warren to sound.
I've listened to this book twice now and anyone interested in the supernatural at all should read or listen to it and take notes. It's not only informative but incredibly entertaining as well.
The novel keeps you guessing until the end. The narrator does a good job conveying the accents of the characters as well.
Awesome story, almost believable. If you enjoy stories on the supernatural or spiritual books you will enjoy this one. I hope he writes more.
This was one of King's better works. I have read several of his titles and this one is better than most, which is saying something. He didn't overload this one with disgusting or vile scenes and it's an edge-of-your-seat plot that keeps you wondering.
I have read two of Albom's other titles and thoroughly enjoyed them both. This book was disappointing. I didn't finish it to be completely honest. I kept waiting for something to happen or some great tidbit of wisdom or even something especially heartwarming, it never came, so I gave up.
The people calling from Heaven should have something a little more insightful to say. Angels should call too, at least, if not God.
If you are visiting Georgia this would be a great book to read. However, if you are looking for an entertaining story this is not it. It is written like a travel guide.
I loved the magic captured in the book. Some characters were detestable and others captivating. Excellent book for those interested in the supernatural, fantasy, or just witches.
The story was great. It was a story that would be better read than listened. The narrator did not at all capture the suspense or terror of the scenes or the emotions of the characters. The tone of the story was lost in the narration.
The plot was great.
The narrator did not use appropriate emotion in his voice or inflection. He sounded cheerful at times that were intended to sound frightening.
It's a good premise for a book, and I love stories with witches (which is why I chose this book), but it is poorly written.
The main character is a young, horny, and rather dumb lady.
The narrator is good with voices, however she does not help to detract from the cheesiness of the writing
It was not the worst book I ever read, but it was not the best either.
I would recommend this series for a young woman in her teens.
Yes I would. While the dialogue and overall tone of the series is juvenile, the writing itself is well developed and descriptive.
