"Unimpressed"
The story was just too ditzy. I really liked the idea behind the story...Heroine is working at a paranormal dating service in the office, protecting her sister from the werewolf packs, etc. But the story itself seemed to be trying to sound like a book from Mary Janice Davidson, whom I really enjoy, but just didn't quite pull it off. Better luck with the next one.
"Another Winner!!"
Just when you start to think a series can't go any farther, a good storyteller can surprise you. I have followed both of Ms. Briggs' series since she first began them. Another great listen. She knows how to keep you following along and then zaps you with a twist in the story you never expected. For those who haven't followed along, she doesn't leave you behind. Important parts of the story get their background explained so you don't get lost.
"More Cynster Magic!"
I really enjoy this author and especially this narrator. I have been a fan of the Cynster books for years, and this book continues the series. The hero is the brother of the heroine of the first Cynster novel. Although a little slow in the beginning, the book has a few twists in the plot that I really enjoyed. Keep them coming!
"Another great story!"
This was a very good book. I have read the whole series and the audio version added points I didn't catch while reading the print version. The narrator was good without distracting from the story. I really hope they will do the next book in the series. It is even better than this one was.
"Pretty Good Book!"
I listen to a lot of audiobooks, and I thought this was one of the better ones. It was a little slow to get into, especially if you haven't read the other books in the series.
When Queen Anwyl rides out over the enemy troops on dragon back, then jumps off, landing behind the enemy general on his horse. After killing him, she looks around, grins, and says, "Hello lads...Name's Anwyl."
Anwyl the Bloody. You can just picture her as the Mad Queen, and a loving mother at the same time.
These dragons don't need training.
There a several books in this series. I hope they are going to go back and produce the others.
